Rather to my own consideration regarding the amount of effort that a
particular group of people would need to put while everybody else is
programming like crazy.

I think we have quite a few people who pick goals and set priorities :)

I was talking with the project manager for SB2 related project.  He said
that we certainly should have a look at it in some near future and I
will :)
