Thanks.
There is one developer, accepting donations only (saying nothing about any bounty).
Heard for the first time about bounty

Just another excellent query string

Flashcam project for Linux (bounty for N800?)

http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19855

Sorry, I was not aware, bounty is a common term in Linux society.
How much is bounty for something like Flashcam for N800 ?
I would like to know in advance if I can afford it.

Any chance to have a group to share costs of bounty for a developer ?
How much is a good question.

A Bounty For A Linux Port
By Judy Mottl on January 17, 2008 8:08 AM

As I reported yesterday Drobo, the robotic storage device, has a sibling providing NAS functionality, the DroboShare.

Now it seems the company is offering up $2,000 to the developer who can build a port of its "Dashboard" Drobo configuration application to Linux, according to LinuxDevices.com.

GNOME has a number of open source bounties available for completion, ranging in difficulty and payout. The following Calendar project is worth $2000:

Some of you may be familiar with a similar contest for the first booting of Windows on Macintosh Intel based hardware. From an initial $1000 dollars offered, the pool rose to $14,000,000 before it was won.

The following Tasks project is worth $500:

Bugzilla tasks backend

The following Addressbook project is worth $300:

The following IM project is worth $2000:

Gaim/Evolution presence integration

...is offering 2 bounties to finish the Linux version of DTV. DTV is a RSS video downloader / player.

Total bounty amount: $700

starts the bounty with $499, taken from the original donations made to the site to get the dedicated server. When we hit our visitor number 1.000.000 on our frontpage.
