Hello Fred,

I know nothing about the syntax of debian/control, but I looked at how 
others have done it. In maemo-mappers debian/control I found out that it 
is possible to have "or" conditions, like this:

Build-Depends: hildon-libs-dev | libhildon1-dev, hildon-fm-dev | 
libhildonfm2-dev

Try this out.
