As I wrote earlier, I was playing devil advocate ;)

OTOH, since Diablo is featuring SSU, nothing would prevent Nokia from
shipping already generated images and have updates available at the
same time (but it would probably been seen as a bad handling from
Nokia by most people).

We have this kind of issues for Mandriva distribution, since between
the time we generate ISO, we validate them and release them, new
security updates (or bug fixes) might be already pushed through the
update channel.
