They all end up depending on Lenny's libc6 and other extreme core packages, which you really don't want to be replacing. If you take care to make sure the dependencies are installed, even if they're the wrong versions, you can force it with --force-depends, but this frequently leads to things breaking pretty badly. For that reason, using a Lenny package directly is a bit of a last resort. Far better to make a Maemo backport, by grabbing the Debian source package and compiling it in scratchbox.
