I have tried creating some Maemo GUI applications for my Nokia N810, but
when I copy them to the device they don't run. I have been using the
Maemo VMware image to create my applications on Windows XP. I haven't
figured out how to create a Navigation Menu shortcut link to my
application in Maemo, so I've had to try and run the application from an
X terminal window - which may be the problem. But when I run the
application using run-standalone.sh it tells me I'm missing a "(" on
line 1. I have used Eclipse Sbox to create towards the ARMEL Chinook
architecture target, since I have Maemo OS 2008 on the device. Any
ideas what I am doing wrong? I would really like to be able to get my
application running and get somewhere toward developing applications for
my device. Thanks.
