Not really, you can come up with one.

In the past it was used by certain employees tightly related to
maemo.org, but nowadays there is no Nokia person using it afaik. It is
used as alias in maemo.org related services i.e. this mailing list
garage at maemoorg etc. For the sake of clarity, the trend is to
separate clearly Nokia from maemo, so don't expect Nokia employees
wearing @maemo.org in their communications anymore.

As said, the decision is in your (plural) side. I personally think it is
useful for the maemo community to identify those comrades that are
having a heavy involvement in the project and have an official role in it.
