I'm looking through these bugs, and I have some comments:
1. it'd be nice if someone would fix summaries.
Bug 3196's summary was bad. It's probably worth it for someone to take
the time to explain to reporters that summaries matter.

2. training users while resolving bugs as duplicates
If you're being a QAish person and have time (I'm not formally QA, I
don't have time, and I tend to rub people the wrong way), and you
resolve a bug as a duplicate, it might be a good idea to explain to the
reporter how they could have searched for and found the bug that you
found so that the reporter or others might learn.

3. an introduction to watch lists and interest areas.
If you'd like to get involved, either because you're an engineer and own
a component (I will bug one engineer directly after I write this email)
or because you have some interest in a certain area, please consider
visiting:
https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email
At the bottom of the page, you will see:

User Watching

If you watch a user, it is as if you are standing in their shoes for the
purposes of getting email. Email is sent or not according to your
preferences for their relationship to the bug (e.g. Assignee). You are
watching anyone on the following comma-separated list:

Users to watch: [...]

You can put any account that's registered in bugs.maemo.org into the
list. The recommended ones to add are QA contacts. This enables you to
get virtually all bugmail for a given component (e.g. Application
manager).
To find the proper qa contact, simply load:
https://bugs.maemo.org/describecomponents.cgi
And select your product:
https://bugs.maemo.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=System%20managemen
t
And then find the component of interest:
https://bugs.maemo.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=System%20managemen
t#Application%20manager
Then copy the qa contact's email address:
application-manager-bugs at maemo.org

And return to
https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email
And add that to the list of
Users to watch: [application-manager-bugs at maemo.org ]

For what it's worth, here's my watch list:
microb-bugs at maemo.org,bookmarks-bugs at maemo.org,flash-bugs at maemo.org,oper
a-engine-bugs at maemo.org,browser-bugs at maemo.org,misdirected-garage-bugs at m
aemo.org,misdirected-nokia-bugs at maemo.org,misdirected-downstream-bugs at ma
emo.org,misdirected-upstream-bugs at maemo.org,media-plugin-bugs at maemo.org

If you're curious about whether anyone is watching you, you can see that
from the same page under:
Users watching you:

If you've just setup a friend with a new device and told them to file
bugs in bugs.maemo.org, you might choose to watch that friend.
I actually have one person watching me (I wouldn't recommend watching me
if I were you, but if you want to watch a QA or a friend, it can be
useful).

Technically it is possible to figure out who is watching whom. But I
wouldn't recommend that people actually try to do this, it's very spammy
and most likely someone would complain :)

4. Other things that might be fun.
Did you know that you can subscribe to any query as an rss feed?
https://bugs.maemo.org/buglist.cgi?bug_status=UNCONFIRMED,NEW,ASSIGNED,R
EOPENED,RESOLVED&chfield=[Bug%20creation]&chfieldfrom=-24h&ctype=rss

(that's a general version of bugzilla.mozilla.org's front page link for
"bugs filed today")
