[maemo-developers] 'camera' application on Nokia N810

The camera is accessible by using the gstreamer media libraries.

I make use of it within liqbase and extract live image data from the stream.
For additional sources using the camera, lardman has started a barcode
project which also makes use of the camera.
If I remember rightly, you can export data to jpeg or png quite easily and
is more flexible than simply using the camera.
