I am developing a sound application for Diablo. I am having audio quality problems when I use non standard audio sample rates such as 32000 Hz. I have a high quality sample rate converter and when I use this to convert to 44100 it sounds like it should. If I use 32000 Hz it has a raspy sound. I am assuming that esd uses linear interpolation to up convert to 44100 thus producing the distortion. Has anybody else noticed this or looked into this problem? I have as a future item to convert from esd to gstreamer. Currently my app (otrplayer) architecture does not easily fit the gstreamer architecture thus will be done at a later date. Bruce
