[maemo-developers] maemo isn't on the netbook?

Hi All,
I know you don't hear from me often. I've dropped in and out for awhile now
but thought I'd pop in and ask the community why Nokia isn't using Maemo for
its netbook strategy. Especially when there is a struggling but growing
"App Store" library built on the platform. Fremantle is meant to be much
more graphically powerful and seemingly capable to offer a complete
experience as hybrid desktop/mobile environment but isn't pushed to market
as much as other mobile platforms. Android is already making its way to
netbooks so obviously there must be some logic to Google's strategy. And
Nokia is deciding to use windows. I can see the logic in being able to
offer a complete operating system with the support that Microsoft has, but
still. The same way of thinking could reason that Nokia should just use all
microsoft software on all of its devices and can Maemo and their portfolio
of mobile software...Maemo certainly isn't as polished of an experience as
Windows but that's what hiring a large design studio to take care of is all
about...I digress. Just some thoughts looking to hear other's opinions.
