Don't get me wrong, please. I'm not big fan of dput or Debian. I'm
using scp for my uploads, because my distro doesn't have dput at all.
However if there is any chance to implement this feature using
standard tools I'd prefer this one. Considering the fact that for some
Maemo developers even using dput was difficult and they're asking for
more user-friendly tool I tend to think twice before start using scp
to upload packages. Even providing our own tool(which can use scp
under the hood) is better than using it directly.
