Hello, thanks for the prompt reply. I haven't extracted the devkits and toolchains.....only extracted scratchbox-core and scratchbox-libs. (first extracted scratchbox -core in '/' (saved as 'scratchbox' )and then extracted scratchbox-libs into the 'scratchbox' folder in '/"). Do,I need to extract the toolchains and devkits into the scratchbox folder in '/'? I did reboot the system as the documentation suggested and was trying to start 'scratchbox' as per the document's procedure. But, it showed that error:scratchbox not properly setup. Should I try out 'sudo /scratchbox/sbin/sbox_ctl start' instead of '/scratchbox/login' (will give that a shot) Thanks once more for your help.If you have a simpler/clearer procedure for installation,do advice. regards, Avi ________________________________________ From: Tuomas Kulve [tuomas at kulve.fi] Avishek_Sharma wrote: > 1. After a boot you need to start Scratchbox. When it's installed from debian packages, it's done "automatically". When installing from tarballs you need to start it manually: sudo /scratchbox/sbin/sbox_ctl start -- Tuomas DISCLAIMER: This email (including any attachments) is intended for the sole use of the intended recipient/s and may contain material that is CONFIDENTIAL AND PRIVATE COMPANY INFORMATION.
