Yep, I'm familiar with that (and have been doing it since the day I got
my N800), but my current phone only supports GPRS, which feels slow
enough (bordering on "unusable" much of the time) even on non-bandwidth-
intensive applications that I can't imagine Skype would work over it.
(Skype has recently become both my primary and secondary phone numbers
due to an international move.)

But it looks like the 3G tablet is just rumors at this point, so
carrying two separate devices it is.  Ah, well.
