Hi! I'm working on porting an existing xlib-based application to the Maemo platform. I'm trying to understand whether keeping xlib is a feasible option. (I know very little about GTK development.) It seems like using xlib directly to create & draw to windows works fine, except that we don't get the benefit of theming and the window size is too large. Ignoring theming for the moment, can the size issue be worked around? (Seems the window manager ignores my requests for window size.) Are there any other gotchas that are going to make me wish I was using GTK? Is there any way to use the input methods without using GTK, for instance? Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks. (And apologies if this is covered elsewhere, but an exhaustive search turned up little.) -- Damian
