We are not completely sure, why the X-Server does not work, but we assumed that it could be a problem that it includes some assembly code, which doesn't run on an older ARM. You could try to rebuild it as suggested. If you succeed you might be able to run it. But you would have to try it, we cannot guarantee that it will work ;)
