Disclaimer: I am not a Nokia or Riverbank employee nor connected to them in
any way except using some of their products.

A little background: Qt has *official* (=as in done and supported by themselves)
support only for Java. All other binding are products of other companies
and/or open source efforts. PyQt is a popular python binding done by Riverbank
computing (basically Phil Thompson). While I see from the maemo garage page
that Phil Thompson is there, most commits seem to be done by other people. So,
the bottom line is that it would be surprising for *Nokia* to offer official
support (they did not say anything offering it for linux in general, which is
much less a niche than any Maemo version). The same goes for Riverbank - there
has been no distribution specific support (apart from the usual linux-max-win
platforms). Complicating the issue is the license disrepancy (PyQt is still
not available under the LGPL). Considering the (time) distance to Harmattan,
for now I'd say the safest bet is to treat PyQt as community support with the
option of paid support for generic Qt or PyQt issues (in case this is
important for you because of the development of commercial software).

If people with more inside knowledge have additional info, feel free to
correct me.
