This works on my Ubuntu Jaunty system exactly as I'd expect: window
gets minimised and I can stop updates.

I don't get *any* window-state-event on Diablo when either minimising
the window or switching back to the home screen. Since there's no app
switching in Fremantle SDK, I can't test there :-(

Have you got any sample code which uses window-state-event I could use
as a basis for comparison?
