The installation/upgrade instructions do tell an easy way to upgrade. Since the damage has already been done the given instructions will not work. There is still a way out of this, unless re-installation is the desired option. You can simply force the installation of pulseaudio and continue after that. $ fakeroot dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/pulseaudio_0.9.15-1maemo16 +0m5_armel.deb $ fakeroot apt-get -f dist-upgrade should do it. -- Janne
