Hi Edward!

Shouldn't we have this discussion on a public development mailing list
so others might find it if they have the same problem? I am CC'ing
maemo-community-dev, I hope you don't mind. :^)

First of all, I am using a N810 and diablo, which version of maemo are
you using? Once I enable the diablo repositories, I did this;

~ # apt-cache show streamripper

Which gave me this;

Package: streamripper
Priority: optional
Section: sound
Installed-Size: 204
Maintainer: Thomas Pietrowski <thopiekar at googlemail.com>
Architecture: armel
Version: 1.63.5-1maemo0
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.5.0-1), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.12.12-1osso10),
libmad0 (>= 0.15.1b), libogg0 (>= 1:1.1.3), libtre4, libvorbis0a (>=
1.2.0.dfsg)
Suggests: kstreamripper, streamtuner
Filename: pool/diablo/free/s/streamripper/
streamripper_1.63.5-1maemo0_armel.deb
Size: 86828
MD5sum: 1180e63c26b52a4d205bf639c5b611a7
SHA1: 1f24633f872954ba049a8d6fa46d02fa9f9f5334
SHA256: ea330b95e0da86ec1c62ceba9c4da47fa53e3604d4b5c66ce5c5cc3b430b6e69
Description: download online streams into audio files
  This command-line tool can be used to record MPEG III
  and OGG online radio-streams into track-separated audio
  files.

Then I installed streamripper with

$ apt-get install sreamripper
