In debian packages get re-built for new targets often, for example nearly every package in stable will be rebuilt for squeeze in the next few weeks because of the update of debian policy. Packaging is hard work and I understand a lot of developers don't like doing it, but if you are interested in making life easier for the users of your software, I hope you will consider building a package for fremantle.
