After that I tried to recompile the kernel but the omap patch against the kernel failed to apply cleanly. I use the sisusb vga adapter so I currently switched to the OE kernel without pain (yet). I will try some more but as the OE kernel appears to work it might be better to try to get the Beta running on the Beagle.
