No, Beta generally means that API and UI changes are no longer possible. And I think that's the case with Maemo 5. It's unfortunate that we only saw a well-enough documented API reference and HIG at the beta stage. I think that the quality improvements from being more open would have been worth more than whatever short-term market positioning Nokia gained by working in isolation. Yes, I'm whining aimlessly.
