HIG suggestions are welcome as well :) The Hildon HIG http://maemo.org/api_refs/5.0/beta/hig/html/ch06s09.html says " Only use toggle buttons as filters in a menu. Use them in groups, so they are not mistaken for regular buttons. Make the group behave like either a group of check buttons or a group of GTK radio buttons, as required.
