You can use C++, GTK, Hildon, Qt etc without paying any licence. Most of components are LGPL that mean that you can link them to closed source applications. Just reminder, commercial and closed source are different things. It is possible to make closed but free of charge applications or it is possible to make commercial open source applications. GPL and LGPL does not say that you cant make commercial applications.
