Hi, > I'm new to Maemo and wanted to check out if I can contribute to an > existing project in the Maemo Garage before I try contributing source > code on my own. When I checked out the "Project Openings" tab on the > Garage, there were no openings for developers. > > I'd like to know how I can find out which projects are open to > developers joining and contributing. One option would be to send > "Request to Join", but a lot of projects seem to be code that is > already mature and may not need contributions. Can someone please help > me out here? I think there are a lot of people who could need a help. But what is your back-ground, which is the kind of project to be interested in, in which kind of work do you think you could help out? I think a good approach would be to write a bit about this and open a thread in the developer forum in talk [1]. I'm sure that somebody will come then to you. If you are familiar with Qt maybe this would be a possibility [2] ;) 1. http://talk.maemo.org/forumdisplay.php?f=13 2. http://danielwilms.wordpress.com/2009/10/21/download-client-for-applications-in-extras/ Cheers Daniel
