I think it would end up being less work (for the developers), and would make those now-dated Diablo devices much more useful (without switching to Mer). The twist here is that you can use the same codebase for both Diablo and Fremantle, and expect the app to work the same. Provided that Nokia chooses to support Qt-apps-made-in-fremantle-style in Harmattan as well, so much the better. It will create more work for those that already made Diablo Qt apps (they would have to retest & tweak their app, but in the end they would have a better app), but how many are those anyway?
