[maemo-developers] [Python] How to get a Desktop Widget to appear in "Add Widget" list

I am having a difficult time getting my python-based Desktop Widget to
appear in the "Add Widget" list. If I copy my widget's main .py and
.desktop files to the correct directories, my widget will just appear
on the desktop after I restart Hildon Desktop. My widget works fine
when I do this, but will never appear in that list. if I close my
widget, there is no way to reopen it without restarting Hildon
Desktop.

I installed "example-desktop-widget" (which is written in C) from the
repository and it behaves as you would expect. I even looked at it's
.desktop file to see if there was something I was leaving out of mine,
but they were identical in structure.

I also followed the steps on
http://wiki.maemo.org/PyMaemo/HildonDesktop exactly, trying to see if
I cold get that to appear in the list, and it didn't.

Any ideas? Thanks.
