    If you are targeting to Hildon, why not to use just Hildon. At the 
same time you could make sure that there are no name collisions. The 
transition from your library to the future extended Hildon library would 
just need to change compilation options, not all names in a source code.

    I know that this is not a common way to do things and not generally 
suggested, but I think this a special situation. At least there should 
be no negative issues with that (if you are careful with the names, as 
you should if you are going to integrate it finally) and it would make 
the forthcoming transition easier.
