No. Applications built for chinook will (generally) run on diablo but not the other way around (the issue is library version numbers being incremented). That is generally true of the Maemo N.0 and N.x releases and is why my nightly GPE builds build against bora (to support bora and gregale -- Maemo 3.x), chinook (to support chinook and diablo -- Maemo 4.x) and fremantle. However, I do admit that for Maemo 2.x they build against mistral (Maemo 2.2) -- there may have been a good reason for it at the time, I can't remember. In any case, I have announed that the next GPE release will be last one which supports Maemo 2 and I will drop the mistral build at that time. I plan to continue with the nightly builds building against chinook even after Niels makes this change. But with the chinook autobuilder turned off I will not be able to update the version of GPE in chinook extras in future, only in diablo extras. Graham
