URL: <http://lists.maemo.org/pipermail/maemo-developers/attachments/20100324/55b010b1/attachment.htm> -------------- next part -------------- Hi, the arrival of the vice emulator in extras-devel and the fact that it boots directly into a x64 emulation without further interaction made me have a look for the rom images required for this. Interestingly, the vice package contains the full set of commordore rom images. When asking the author to rethink this he claimed that all those other emulators like speccy also come with original rom images. It seems that this shouldn't be happending and that someone at maemo.org should take a closer look at all those emulator packages to see whether they contain copyrighted rom dumps. It really doesn't make any sense to shout at people asking for game roms on t.m.o and calling them pirates while at the sa,e time distribute vintage computer roms yourself. Either you ban this or you allow maemo.org to be used to share all kinds of rom images. Everything else is hypocritical ... Till
