You can already see the discussion here that, to be frank, would be swamped on TMO with "does this give me Flash 10.1" or "X Terminal didn't open, what do I do?" posts. That's fine, and I look forward to answering them, but let's get some initial testing (TBH, I'd expect that to not last too long). Having said that, having `apt-get source' is pretty essential in the next iteration. > How will included improvements be decided? > > Will there be an inclusive policy - every improvement that someone is > willing to work on will be included - or will there be a gatekeeper that > will decide what to include? > > Were this issues discussed? Were they decided? NAFAIK, that's what should be discussed - in a constructive way - now that the concept has been proved and the kinks worked out. > > I can imagine a number of ways of getting involved if you want to > > help, including carving out a space on wiki.maemo.org to deal > > with/document the issues of and around: > > > > * Release management - how does testing/QA/release work? > > Shouldn't this be discussed, before being documented in wiki? Yes, but I'd imagine a homepage being useful to frame the debate and document the outcomes. > Indeed, organizing and distributing is much harder and less fun than > actual developing, so we should be thankful for anyone who is willing to > do that, so I'll join your thanks to Mohammad, but will add a small > request: > > Please, don't upload binaries without uploading corresponding source. Agreed, and if Mohammad had any particular issues with packaging/building & uploading, I'm sure the development community would be willing to assist - just like we're seeing with the brainstorming around streamlining the enabler package.
