This is very sad. I see nothing has changed since I left the MeeGo 
lists. Having static packages is so 2000!

A MeeGo foundation should be to have all packages in upstream MeeGo 
repositories instead of 3rd party repo after 3rd party repo. Endorsing 
3rd party repos is a recipe for fail. If they want to follow the success 
that is Android or iOS they should be welcoming a central/official set 
of repositories.

Yes, this is why I left the MeeGo lists. The talk about having an open 
process and open operating environment was just that. Talk. I think 
Stallman got paid off big time to not cause a big fuss about the way 
MeeGo is being handled when they were given the FSF logo to place on 
meego.com.
