In case anybody is also interested on this subject: I found QtSqlView (http://idlebox.net/2006/qtsqlview/) by Timo Bingmann <tb at idlebox.net>. The UI, of course, would need a big revamp to fit the n900 screen but the basic components are there. When I get a chance I will give a shot. Right now I feel that will be easier to start a new project instead of trying to port it - they will share none, or very little, of the UI.
