[maemo-developers] ANNOUNCE: Maemo 5 gets community OS updates

Just very breifly: *** GREAT *** !


I have played with various Linux based smartphone environments now
(staring from OpenMoko, Android, WebOS, ...) and have to say that, with
some shortcomings, I still like Maemo best. My two most important points
pro Maemo are: 1. It is more "Linux" than any other 2. Integration of
basic services (like addressbook, phone services (Skype+SIP+mobile) is
done best - try to SIP with Android, it kind of works but is much more
troublesome than Maemo.

So it is so great to see that Maemo5 on N900 will not silently die.

PS: And yes, I have a patch I would like to see being picked up for the
