I hope it's not just another arbitrary fixed length > of SMS text you assume instead of the faulty 0 0x52 is the size of the content_of_message array in the tSMS_SubGSMCBMessage sub-block as passed to userspace by the cell modem firmware. The previously mentioned Harmattan libsms package also uses 0x52 in the same bit of code.
