Hi! I have packaged cups for Maemo. I have still some problems with the promotion. I did the following tests: I recompiled the gtk2 libs against my package libcups2-dev. After that I recompiled abiword and leafpad with printing support enabled. Now I am able to print to a network printer directly out of this 2 applications. I failed with recompiling evince. If this would be successful, I think, direct printing of photos, pdf-documents etc. would be possible. Please test the packages in extras-devel and help with the promotion! The modified gtk2, abiword and leafpad packages are provided here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=56932&page=12 You only have to install libgtk2.0, libgtk2.0-bin and libgtk2.0-common, not the remaining gtk2 packages. If everything is successful, the gtk2 maintainers could rebuild their packages with cups enabled. -- GPG-ID: D31AAEEA http://www.setho.org/people -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
