I see that problem (missing symlink) on my scratchbox as well. Can't
say what broke that.

Did you try creating the symlink yourself, i.e:

[sbox-FREMANTLE_ARMEL: ~] > mv /opt /opt_old
[sbox-FREMANTLE_ARMEL: ~] > ln -s /targets/links/opt /opt
