Hi, <br>
I've bought a bluetooth keyboard from <a href="http://b-speech.com" target="_blank" onclick="return top.js.OpenExtLink(window,event,this)">b-speech.com</a>. It's the same as
the 'smart keyboard'&'freedom keyboard'.. Unluckily its not the
nokia one and it doesn' work with my 770 and the plugin. Can someone
tell me if it is easy to adjust the driver. Has anyone got another
bt-keyboard running with the 770 or any other information concerning
this topic. </blockquote><div><br>
I have tested the 770 successfully with the following keyboards:<br>
- Nokia SU-8W, works fine.<br>
- I-Tech Virtual Laser Keyboard, a projection keyboard that looks
really cool but doesn't work that well in practice. The keyboard
requires pairing which can be done from a command line.<br>
- Think Outside Stowaway, my favorite of the three, works reliably and has a great feel to it.<br>
<br>
As Frantisek wrote, for a keyboard to work with the 770 the device must
support the HID profile. It is a good sign if the keyboard is
advertised as being usable with a desktop OS, as that often means full
HID
support. The Smart keyboard is unfortunately not such a device.
However, the kbdd program (<a href="http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/kbdd">http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/kbdd</a>)
mentions supporting your keyboard, and I can't think of any immediate
reasons why this would not work on the 770 with a bit of hacking.<br>
<br>
On a related note, I hope to provide a UI for pairing Bluetooth keyboards to the 770 with the next version of the plugin.<br>
<br>
Regards,<br>
Tomas<br>
