I've used the Maemo VMware image to learn to create applications for Maemo and the Nokia N800 series devices. I create the application, package it into a debian package and then plug in my Nokia N810 using the USB cable. After the device shows up in the Maemo File Manager I copy the debian package to the device's internal memory, and then I disconnect the USB cable and then check the File Manager on the device and the file is not there. I plug the device back in and don't see the pacakge file on the device's internal memory. I have to shutdown the VMware player with the image and then restart it in order for me to copy the file again. I really don't understand this behavior. Does anybody have any ideas or help as to what I copy a file over the USB connection, and then it's gone once I disconnect the USB?
