I'm using Linux, anyway the question is: what is the best practise to follow?
Where do I have to create the workspace? And what about the project?

Well, the common use of Eclipse is to define the workspace directory at the first usage of Eclipse and save it for the next sessions. You can create workspace at any location, but Eclipse projects are usually created inside workspace directory. For this, you must only define the project name and let "Use default location" checked. You have not to define an specific location. In this way, Eclipse will create the project folder inside the workspace directory, using the project name.

the wizard should not let the user to change the project name or the path.....

If you "Use default location", the path can not be customized and the wizard lets you define only the project name.

If you ARE NOT "Use default location", the wizard lets you define the project name and the project path, since this path is not inside workspace directory (if you want the path inside workspace, you should the previous case: "Use default Location").

it happens only if project name and path are different, for example in
this case I get it:

project name: PluthonTest3

project path: /home/andy80/documenti/sviluppo/Pluthon

I have tested on Linux and I have got the exception. In fact, I was performing the tests on Windows in a wrong way.
I will post a bug on Garage and fix it for the next release.
