<br>All I can say is, there is already a traffic monitoring application, built-in to the Control Panel (it also distinguishes between roaming and home network) and someone also made a desktop widget for it. (See Personal Dataplan Monitor in the repo.) You may want to check the source of that.

<br>This doc says that this is a Unix-only module, I don't know if it works on Symbian, but I wouldn't bet on it.
