In general WLAN problems, we at least need the information below:

      * 770 software version from Control Panel > Device > About product
        (eg.  0.2005.44-21)
      * exact make and model of the AP and it's firmware version
      * AP's settings: security mode (open, WEP 40/104bits, WPA-PSK,
        EAP), channel, ssid hiding, IP settings, DHCP server

In your case the first two are important, you already provided parts of
the last item. But if you are willing to troubleshoot the problem more,
you could try also these:

      * if the AP provides a list of associated clients, try to check if
        it shows 770 after you have connected (you can find 770's MAC
        address from a sticker below the battery)
      * try to ping from other computer connected to the same WLAN
        network and see if 770 answers to it (command ping in
        Windows and in Linux)
      * try temporarily with a different AP settings which could
        pinpoint the problem: a different WEP key, a 40 bit key, open
        mode or different channel

And if you have time, please file a bug to bugzilla. That they it's
easier to track the problem.
