Is it possible that besides security concerns there are other problems?

I have the dropbear 0.48-0.1 package installed on the first OS2006
edition. I don't remember exactly which instructions I followed to
install it (probably something linked to from the Maemo application
catalog), but I have a link /etc/default/dropbear which starts dropbear
after reboots.

What puzzled me is that I remained logged in even when the 770 seemed to
be in power save mode (lid closed, display off). Is that because
dropbear keeps the wireless connection open and thus prevents more
aggressive power saving?

Is is possible that dropbear also affects power saving when no-one is
logged in and wireless is off? My device has a stand-by time of about a
week (not using it at all during that time), which seems a bit short.
