I've got nothing to add.  I installed the patched version, it worked
like a charm.

The repo URL I used was:

No, I haven't sent the patch yet.  

I updated the patch the way Marius suggested, and added an explanation
and the repository URLs into the patch file.  I wasn't able to test
the patch because I still haven't scratchbox installed.  The updated
patch is here:
