Did you look at the picture of the n800 case on the link Quil
provided? This is the only flip-lid style case in existance. It's a
flap that simply covers the front/screen with a hard piece of
material, FWICT. All of the other cases are, IMHO either too bulky or
absolutely worthless. I've seen a number of cases that are rubber or
leather and fit the n800 shell perfectly, leaving openings for the
buttons and screen. This seems pointless. I don't care if the n800
gets scratched or other cosmetic damage, I just want to protect the
screen. I want a flip lid like my Palm 5 had. Nokia provides such a

Nokia is a large multinational company. I can guarentee they will not
need to take people poff the n800 maintence group (those working on
improving the n800 software) to design a case. Also, this case has
been availabe on the european site since launch date, but has been
'sold out'. That implies that at least a prototype was designed or a
photoshop was done. Either way, this was planned from the begining,
not a result of user demand.
