Also, the new http://downloads.maemo.org will show downloads count as
well originated from people clicking those big green install arrows.

btw, there have been conversations about implementing in the future a
popularity-contest like feature. Users would accept (or not) to share
information about the software they have installed and this would help
us identifying the areas where there is more interest/activity, and what
are the most popular third part applications. This feature is common in
Debian, Ubuntu and other GNU/Linux distributions.
