[maemo-users] Brick after battery dying?

It's possible that you've got some corrupted memory of some sort,
perhaps/possibly due to an attempt to write to memory while the battery
was running out of power or interrupted for some reason?

Start with the external chips -- Try removing your memory chips and
rebooting. If this works, then you might have a corrupt external chip,
which may require formating if you can't read them. See if you can read
the chips in another computer. You may or may not be able to salvage
some info if this is the problem. There are apparently some problems
with some chips and previous versions of the OS corrupting chips...

If this doesn't work, you might have a corrupted internal memory.
Flashing the lastest OS update MIGHT (or might not) work. If you
haven't done a recent backup, you might have a bit of work reinstalling

There's instructions on how to do get the latest update at

At least it's worth a try.
