I've mounted unpowered USB keys (Americans would say "thumb drive" I'm guessing) up to 2Gb. The only brand I remember ottomh is PNY, which would have been 1Gb. I used a 64Gb one to stream video once (choppy as hell, but it sort of worked..) If you use mplayer, you could try -nocache. It seems counterintuitive but it got rid of the choppiness here (the video was encoded....for an iPod touch ;-)) Bye
