Hello,
you can replace one of the existing keyboard layouts by editing the 
layout definition under /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols.
E.g. I replaced the danish layout with the Dvorak layout from my PC.

I wrote a short description after I set up my Apple BT keyboard. It is 
only in german, but maybe you find the config lines useful:
